Frequently Asked Questions
How can I get a quote for my roofing project?
You can easily request a quote by filling out the form on our contact page, or by reaching out to us directly via phone or email. Let us know which products you are interested in, or what you require for your roof and we can recommend the right products or talk through some options. We also have a technical team on hand to discuss any more complicated roofing queries.
What is your lead time?
The timeline from order to delivery is typically 3 – 5 days but will depend on the size
and complexity of your order. We can now provide next day dispatch / delivery on most of our standard stock lines, so don’t hesitate to ask if you are in rush and we can see what we can deliver quickly.
What types of roofing materials do you specialize in?
We specialize in natural materials and innovative products, including a range of slate, stone, and high-quality ancillaries. Our expert team can help guide you to the best choice for your project, considering both aesthetic, cost and performance factors.
Do you offer direct to site delivery?
We offer delivery direct to site delivery with the pallet network, with offload available, so you can order directly through us.
How do I decide the appropriate ridge angle?
Our ridges are available in our wide range of set angles: 75, 90, 105, 120, 135, 150 degrees. We display our angles as the physical internal angle of our ridge, but see below how this translates to the roof pitch:
75°: Suitable for special roofs with a pitch up to 45 degrees
90°: From 37.5 up to 45 degrees
105°: From 30 up to 37.5 degrees
120°: From 22.5 up to 30 degrees
135°: Suitable for special roofs with a pitch up to 22.5 degrees
150°: Specialist ridge for low pitch applications, hexagonal roofs, bay window turrets etc.
When used in the hip application: It is normal practice to use a hip that is one angle flatter than the ridge being used. If in doubt of the angle or in-between, always choose the steeper angle (e.g. out of
105° and 90°, choose 90°).
* When measuring the angle: If in doubt of the angle required, measure the angle where the ridges will be installed, after the slates are on, using an angle measurer. The stacking of the slates either side may add a few degrees to the true angle, it is always best to measure.
