Bespoke ridge conversion using Rosmary roof tiles

Mayan are able to use our skills of manufacturing and design expertise to create bespoke ancillaries for the roofing industry.

The developer of this particular project is a fan of us late ridges and has used them on many slate roof projects in the past. He approached us and asked if we could help to create some ridges for this Rosemary tiled roof.

Those were particularly chosen by the homeowner for their appearance but when the homeowner saw the rosemary ridges installed with a dry ridge kit he was very unhappy. He didn’t like the appearance of the stark black clips between each ridge all the use of the dry rollout system.

When taking the time to design a roof for a high end property, the small finishings can make all the difference and in this case it was ruining the appearance of the whole roof for the customer.

The versatility of our bespoke factory was showcased with this job as we created a full set of bespoke ridges for this customer.

Using our innovative and patented design base,  we incorporated our techniques to be used with the tiles.

Each was cut by hand and re-bonded together. We then made bespoke hip ends in our standard style to finish each course.

In true Mayan style, we ensured that there was an effective ventilation system hidden within the products so that the performance was excellent.

We used our patented clip and connector system and added this bespoke to the tiles so that no fixings are visible. We tried to make these bespoke ridges as close to our beautiful all-in-one design as we could, as this is so popular with expensive homes.

We made sure that these ridges were extremely easy to install to make life easy for the contractors and ensure that the finish would be perfect.

Apron ridge

There was also a flat roof junction where we used the technology from our apron ridge to create a perfectly smooth junction that was be ready to install straight from the pallet. Our apron ridges are brand-new and completely innovative and this is what really drew the contractor and customer to Mayan as it’s such a tricky section of the roof to look perfect and we have created a solution.
